Meet Our Founder / Director - Manogaran Suppiah
Empowering leaders to inspire, innovate, and transform organisations for enhanced performance.
Mano retired from the Ministry of Education in 2022, after serving more than 43 years. In the course of his rich career, Mano’s leadership portfolio has been diverse and wide-ranging.
As the founding Executive Director of the Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST), a division within the MOE, he was comfortable with policy work and ground-breaking professional development programmes for the 33,000 teachers in Singapore; as a Cluster Superintendent, he honed his skills as a Leader of Leaders, guiding school leaders and strengthening his keen sense of identifying and developing future leaders in the system; as the CEO of the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA), a Self-Help Group, he helped rebrand the organisation into one that catalyses change by impacting thousands of beneficiaries through the various educational and youth-related programmes; as a school leader of both a primary school and a junior college, Mano introduced several creative learning programmes, including significant in-house staff development programmes that had impacted students, teachers and leaders at all levels.
Whilst serving in MOE, Mano was invited to conduct leadership workshops and seminars on innovation and change management in Singapore, Australia, New York, Canada, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
A Transformational and Systems Thinking Leader
Mano has helped turn around and strengthen the organisations he had led. A passionate gardener, he invests time in cultivating and nurturing the right conditions for his staff to perform at their best. He is a process consultant, facilitator and coach with over 25 years of experience in the field of organisation development.
He has partnered with institutions like the Ministry of Education, National Institute of Education, Civil Service College, the Principals Academy and ASCD (Singapore) to deliver programmes that are timely and relevant.
Mano’s Diverse Contributions and Recognitions in Community Leadership
Mano has helped turn around and strengthen the organisations he had led. A passionate gardener, he invests time in cultivating and nurturing the right conditions for his staff to perform at their best. He is a process consultant, facilitator and coach with over 25 years of experience in the field of organisation development.
Mano volunteers actively in the community. He is the Chairman of the Tamil Language Council, a national appointment that comes under the Ministry of Community, Culture and Youth. As Chairman, Mano oversees the annual Tamil Language Festival that promotes spoken Tamil in the community. He is the Immediate Past President of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) Singapore and is a member of the National Committee for the Prevention of Recidivism under MHA and MSF. He is also a panel member for the Singapore Writers’ Festival.
